YORKSHIRE BUSINESS MARKET 2009 – another great success!

The 2009 Yorkshire Business Market as a complete sell-out with a final total of 203 Exhibitors filling every available space at Pavilions of Harrogate, on the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate.  In 2008 there were 160 Exhibitors. This year 25% extra display space was created to squeeze in 203 Exhibitors.  In 2008 there were about 1,500 business visitors and this year there were almost 2,000 from all over Yorkshire, due to more extensive direct mail, PR, press supplements and ticket inserts.

Councillor John Fox, Mayor of Harrogate welcomed Exhibitors and Visitors and congratulated the Harrogate Chamber of Trade & Commerce for organising yet another excellent Business Market. He said: “With the talk in the media of doom and gloom, it is refreshing to work with a group of people who actually want to continue to develop their business and realise that to achieve this they have to work with others. Networking is the name of the game, whether it is identifying new clients or new businesses, the Business Market offers you great opportunities”.

Opening the Business Market for the fifth time, local MP Phil Willis referred to his recent visit to Washington, USA, saying: “It was really interesting talking to people on Capitol Hill about what the Americans are doing to actually meet what is the biggest challenge the American economy has faced since 1933. In reality it comes back to very simple things, it’s about confidence, working together and building things up from base lines and building them up locally.”

YORKSHIRE BUSINESS MARKET - NOW A FULL HOUSE!

All the display space has now been booked for the Yorkshire Business Market on Monday 27th April 2009 at Pavilions of Harrogate, on the Great Yorkshire Showground, just south of Harrogate centre.

Harrogate Chamber Chief Executive Brian Dunsby said "in 2008 there were 160 Exhibitors and this year we have created 25% extra display space. All this space has now been booked by almost 200 Exhibitors. Last year there were about 2,500 business visitors and we now expect abut 2,000 visitors from across the whole of Yorkshire, with more extensive direct mail and press advertising this year."

Well over 100 companies have already booked display space at the new Yorkshire Business Market on Monday 28th April 2008 at Pavilions of Harrogate, on the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate.
